Hello! My name is Claire and I am twenty-two years old and the mother of one awesome, bodacious baby. At the moment, she's nearly two-and-a-half. In the interests of privacy, I'm not going to refer to her by her real name, but instead by one of her nicknames: (Little) Eek. She may also be referred to as "Boogie." She's the light of my life and a good part of the reasons I wanted to do this blog.
So what does "growing up geek" mean? Well, honestly, exactly what it sounds like. We love sci-fi shows (Doctor Who is a big one in our house). Eek's been talking about space for as long as she could say the words 'moon' and 'rocket ship.' The Mothership is a very appropriate title, I think, and hopefully that will become evident soon.
